The Continuous Line wins Best Emerging Designer & Brand

The Continuous Line (Continuous) was selected as the 2011-12 MAGIC LaunchPad Emerging Designer in Las Vegas, winning an exhibit space at the next MAGIC in February 2012. Continuous debuted the functional iPad Jacket for Women and Men, an Eco Bikini made from recycled plastics and a Sexy Yoga suit that caught the attention of activewear enthusiasts.
At LaunchPad, buyers were able to browse designs of emerging brands and vote for their favorite new designer and brand at Magic. “Being at MAGIC is an amazing experience that's both inspiring and motivating as a designer. This year the competition was tough and we are truly honored to be recognized among such talent,” says Gail Gonzales, Founder of The Continuous Line.
MAGIC LaunchPad was co-produced by Fashion Business Incorporated. Featured designers and brands included International Citizen Design House, with offices in San Francisco and Hong Kong, footwear label Beneduci and fine menswear from The Moneta Collection, New York among others.
Fashion Business Incorporated (FBI), is a Los Angeles–based nonprofit that provides the apparel industry with educational resources, business training and entrepreneurial development. Since its inception in 1999, the FBI has worked with more than 5,500 existing and emerging fashion entrepreneurs and manufacturers. Ninety percent of FBI's clients are women and minorities.
Every August and February, the fashion industry converges in Las Vegas for the most influential event in the business – MAGIC. As an incubator of fashion, MAGIC is where new trends surface and develop into what will be seen on the consumer. The show's goal is to connect and inspire the fashion community. The August 2011 MAGIC ran from August 22 – 24, 2011.
The Continuous Line, located in Huntington Beach, Calif., is an active lifestyle brand that creates functional quality apparel in the areas of surf, skate, snow and streetwear. Continuous is distinguished by its creativity to reflect the lifestyle and passion of skateboarders, snowboarders, surfers and underground MCs through one line, continuous in nature, signifying an individual's life journey.
