Maisies A/W catwalk range pops up in Tokyo

Dover Street Market was devised by Comme des Garcons founder Rei Kawakubo and is renowned for its innovative store design, installations and for pioneering the idea of a retail shopping environment akin to a gallery space.

Rei Kawakubo: “I wanted to create a kind of market where various creators from various fields gather together and encounter each other in an ongoing atmosphere of beautiful chaos: the mixing up and coming together of different kindred souls who all share a strong personal vision.”

Fashion Designer Rei Kawakubo, founder of Comme des Garcons, was born in Tokyo in 1942.
