Footwear maker Okabashi launches built-in massage beads shoes

US-based manufacturer of foot therapy products, Okabashi Brands Inc announced a new line of two-tone summer thongs and slides combining rich, bold colors of the tropics and comfort in every step with built-in massage beads.
Shoes go on sale for $12.99 beginning April 1, 2006.
The new Resort Thong and Resort Slide feature Okabashi's exclusive massaging footbed paired with an upper contrasting color in rich jewel tones such as hot pink, grass green, coral, hot chocolate and turquoise.
"The new color palette was inspired by the almost playful nature of summer sunsets.
You see the most beautiful colors in the sky during this time of year," said Naomi Wakatake, chief designer at Okabashi.
The new Okabashi collection offers women a versatile accessory that easily matches beachwear, yet is sophisticated enough to compliment a cool summer wrap, a playful skirt, and a favorite sundress.
Wakatake pointed out, "Summer footwear does not have to be a choice between style and comfort this season with Okabashi.
As an added reward, after a day at the beach or in the yard, rinse them off, throw them in the washer and you're ready to go!"
The Okabashi Resort Thong comes in the following two-tone colors: hot pink sole/grass green strap, turquoise sole/coral strap and hot chocolate sole/turquoise strap.
The Okabashi Resort Slide comes in the following two-tone colors: hot chocolate sole/grass green upper and black sole/pink upper.
