Mumz rolls out Buzz Off – first ever insect repellent garden apparel line

Buzz Off from Mumz, the first ever line of insect repellent garden apparel and accessories, debuts at nurseries, home and garden and boutique/specialty retailers nationwide the first week of spring with sizing and style options for the whole family.

Mumz, created by ExOfficio, the outdoor/travel performance apparel maker that introduced Buzz Off, the industry's first line of insect shield insect repellent apparel in 2004, uses the innovative Buzz Off Insect Shield technology to ward off mosquitoes, ticks, chiggers, ants, flies and midges (no-see-ums).

Buzz Off Insect Shield is the result of a process that binds the insect repellent active ingredient permethrin to the fabric of the garments to repel insects. Permethrin is a human-made version of an insect repellent that occurs naturally in certain chrysanthemums.

Buzz Off Insect Shield Insect Repellent Apparel is the first insect-repellent clothing to be registered by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Mumz has also earned the National Home Gardening Club's 'Member Tested and Recommended' seal of approval. In addition to the entire collection being EPA registered for insect repellency, select items in the Mumz collection, such as the chambray shirts, bandanas, canvas shirts and pants, hats, gloves and aprons also provide 30+ UPF protection (blocking up to 98 percent of harmful UV rays).
