Gold Jewelry Company Yikon Corporation Bhd plans to enter India after successful foray of China.
Datuk Noor Ahmad Mokhtar Haniff, Chairman, said that Indian consumer market is worth of RM26 billion and rising consumer spending compels them to venture.
Company is planning to boost Chinese business until they are able to earn out of Indian market.
Two years ago Yikon had ventured into Chinese retail market with 10 retail stores and company was also exporting under Yikoni Gold brand.
Company is hopeful to sell jewelry in Malaysian retail market by end of the year.
Last year, Yikon had received contract to manufacture 2,000kg of gold wafers for 18 months.
