On 7 September, Pedro del Hierro Madrid displayed the second collection by designer Carmen March who is the brand’s creative director at Manhattan’s Canoe Studios.
“Mariano Fortuny and his laid-back oriental aesthetics were the point of departure for this new Spring-Summer 2014 collection”, explained March, in reference to the versatile Spanish artist who was a major creative force in changing the direction of modern attitudes to fashion.
Lightweight fabrics and flowing silhouettes come in a palette that ranges from brightest white and black to a whole array of subtle greys, ivories and pastel shades, with the odd splash of coral, making for an exquisite look with a distinctive Mediterranean flavour.
