Esprit fall/winter 2013campaign explores art of travelling

3 min read

For fall/winter season, Esprit continues to explore the art of travelling – this time escaping into the realms of the ethereal: places of calm and harmony, breathtaking nature and absolute peace of mind.

This fall it’s time to travel to a new dimension, to a space of tranquility, where the Esprit woman is free to embrace culture, poetry and the beauty of a landscape– reflecting on them in quiet solitude, contemplating them in the depths of her mind, reliving them in her dreams.

Who better to embody this one-person narrative than model turned photographer Astrid Muñoz? The Puerto Rican beauty – after gracing the covers of countless international fashion magazines and the runways for some of Europe’s biggest design houses – now prefers the rugged beauty of her ranch in Patagonia to the world’s fashion capitals. Combining her longstanding experience in front of the lens with her skills as a trained photographer, the multi-talent specializes in self-portraits.

As the model and photographer of the next Esprit campaign, this new testimonial delivers an aspirational self- portrait of the confident, multitalented, passionate and effortlessly chic Esprit woman.

This new campaign outlook will be communicated via photography and film and is to span diverse media channels, including the previously established Esprit Digital Travel Diary.

Stimulating Statements - materials and patterns

The modern casual utility looks with a feminine touch of the fall/winter collection 2013 will come to life in heavy knits, wool, leather and tweed. Knits with a handwoven feel feature in refreshingly novel combinations with wool blazers, leather biker jackets, bombers, jeans and tweed shorts.

Classic tartan checks are combined with a color palette featuring authentic blues, sensual autumn nuances like chocolate, bordeaux and emerald and soft natural tones like powder, graphite and mustard. Traditional winter colors ranging from black, off-white to navy, khaki, brown and blackcurrant provide an exciting contrast to vibrant hues like sunset yellow, maroon and curry red, setting stunningly eye-catching accents in Esprit’s contemporary casual wear.

Iconic styles - the key looks

Whether embarking on an outdoor adventure or celebrating the holiday season, the fall/winter 2013 collection offers all the updated classics today’s modern nomads require.

For setting out on an alpine adventure, the Esprit woman chooses rugged, classic highland check shirts mixed with feminine utility pieces: heavy duty boots, leather biker and bomber jackets, relaxed drawstring pants and military inspired coats in khaki and navy blue hues. A casual evening around the fireplace calls for oversize, heavy cable knit sweaters in mustard, brown, grey mélange, off-white or curry red paired with distressed light jeans or rolled-up winter denim shorts.

Giving the nomad look an urban touch, sophisticated staples like white blouses, tweed shorts and blazers, striped felted skirts and wool coats turn outdoorsy pieces into perfect Christmas shopping and advent office outing outfits.
