McArthurGlen sponsors 'Luxury Brand' award for sixth time

Four top names in luxury - Dior, Gucci, Leica and Michael Kors - have been nominated for the Walpole Award for best International Luxury Brand, which is sponsored by McArthurGlen for the sixth year running.

The Award is given to the international (non-British) luxury brand that has the greatest impact in terms of sales (in the UK and overseas), innovation, customer service, and business and media exposure in 2013.

The winners for all ten awards will be announced at the Walpole Awards of Excellence on Monday 18 November 2013 at the Banqueting House, Whitehall, one of London's most historic buildings.

This year the judges for the International Luxury Brand Award, which will be presented by Sven Gaede, McArthurGlen's UK Managing Director, include Gillian de Bono, Editor of the Financial Times' How to Spend It; Armando Branchini, Executive Director, Fondazione Altagamma; Elisabeth Ponsolle des Portes, President and CEO of Comité Colbert; Clive Christian; and Nicky Minter-Green, Publisher, Intelligent Life.

Now in its 12th year, the Walpole Awards for Excellence, in association with Coutts, honour individuals and companies for their work in the luxury sector both in Britain and around the world, celebrating their outstanding achievements in the fields of design, craftsmanship, business and culture.

Previous winners of the International Luxury Brand Award include Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hublot, Hermes and Ferrari.

McArthurGlen
