Victoria's Secret Fashion Show set to leave NY for London

The forthcoming segment of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, organized annually by the Ohio-based innerwear giant Victoria’s Secret, will leave its old favourite New York City for a more English destination.

The fall season lingerie extravaganza, which has earlier been held in cities like Miami, Los Angeles and Cannes, is now moving to London’s Earls Court.

Slated to take place on December, 2, 2014, the event will see an array of luxe innerwear pieces, including the most sought after outrageously expensive bejewelled Fantasy Bra, modelled by the beautiful Victoria’s Secret Angels like Adriana Lima and Candice Swanepoel.

The last edition of Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2013 saw the winged angels walking down the runway in designs created under six themes—British Invasion, Birds of Paradise, Parisian Nights, Shipwrecked, Snow Angels and Pink Network.

One of the most beautiful ensembles on the runway was model Lindsay Ellingson’s 3D-printed shimmery wings dress, which the innerwear maker created in collaboration with the 3D printing marketplace Shapeways, architect Bradley Rothenberg and Swarovski. The dress featured a sequence of entwined snowflakes gathered into a unique geometric shape that when combined created a 3D printing effect.

Candice Swanepoel was last year’s lucky wearer of the show’s major attraction—the Fantasy Bra. Priced somewhere around US$ 10 billion, the bejewelled ensemble was lavishly studded with gems and a giant ruby.

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is generally shot in the month of November every year. Later in December, the show is aired in more than 192 countries by CBS.
