Nike opens its first factory store in Louisiana

Sportswear company Nike Inc has announced the official opening of its Factory Store at the Louisiana Boardwalk Mall in Bossier City, Louisiana.
"Nike is thrilled to open our newest Factory Store in Bossier City, our first store in Louisiana. The mall offers an excellent opportunity to present our brand. In return, we're able to create jobs and, through our community involvement, provide support to kids in the Bossier City and Shreveport area," said Ed Stair, Nike Factory Store General Manager.
To celebrate the grand opening, Nike awarded a $5,000 cash and product grant to the Boys and Girls Club -- Shreveport/Bossier City Branch. The donation is a part of NikeGO, Nike's signature U.S. community affairs initiative aimed at getting kids more physically active. Eric Anderson, Branch Director, attended the grand opening ceremony and accepted the donation on behalf of the club.
"The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club of Shreveport/Bossier City would like to sincerely thank you for your donation in support of our vision to make us the positive place for kids. It is corporations like Nike that help us to make a difference in children's lives," said Anderson.
The 15,000 square foot retail outlet will employ a total of 40 full and part-time staff. The store is located at 201 Boardwalk Blvd Bossier City, LA 71111. (318)742-9251
The Nike Factory Store at Bossier City will carry a wide selection of Nike branded footwear, apparel and equipmentfrom past seasons. The majority of the product will be close-out or overrun product sold at a discount consistent with other stores at the center.
