Memorial Mall in Houston renovated for shoppers

The Memorial City Mall near Gessner Road was renovated recently and a variety of new occupants offer expanded shopping options to customers.

It offers shoppers 1.7 million square feet of retail space, featuring Foley's, Dillard's, JC Penney, Target and Sears, as well as 145 specialty stores.

A novel retailer, Old Navy, a division of Gap Inc known for offering trendy clothes at affordable prices opened with a 16,498-square-foot store on July 27.

ALDO Shoes joined with a 1,726-square-foot store, featuring its own brand of fashion footwear, leather goods and accessories.

The 5,000-square-foot, Apple Store, features the latest in popular Mac and iPod products and accessories also recently set up shop in the mall which has also provided a studio where professional designers, filmmakers and photographers can help customers with creative projects.

A new retailer the Body Shop offers bath and skincare products and Sports Fan Attic offers a variety of college and professional sports team apparel and memorabilia, at its new 3,000-square-foot store.
