GEAR FOR SPORTS launches iPods friendly garments

GEAR FOR SPORTS has introduced five garments specifically designed to safely, and securely, house iPods and MP3 players. This new feature was announced at the recent CAMEX show and the line is currently being sold by GEAR FOR SPORTS sales representatives. The garments became available May 1, 2006.

“It's exciting to see cutting edge collegiate apparel lines such as GEAR FOR SPORTS' iPod friendly garments in the marketplace,” said Kit Walsh, senior vice president of marketing, The Collegiate Licensing Company. “By combining the popularity of collegiate apparel with the iPod craze, it'll give retailers who don't typically carry iPod's and its many accessories an opportunity to drive additional traffic to their stores.”

There are five new products that will feature the iPod pocket, including style G2039 the Sideline Polar Zip; style G2062 the Sideline Fleece 1/4 Zip; G2068 the Sideline Striped Hood; G2079 the Big Cotton? Fleece Jacket and the gfs.coed G9002 Polar Zip. The Coed and men's Polar Zip Fleece features an arm zip pocket, and is equipped with internal grommets for earphone wires to be concealed on the inside of the fleece for comfort and security.

Style G2068 and G2062 include a perfectly sized, hidden pocket within the pouch pocket that will safely store an iPod, and allow for the earphone wires to be concealed on the inside of the garment. The Full Zip Big Cotton offers an iPod zip pocket and the ability to safely tuck away your earphone wires. All iPod friendly products are available in a wide color selection.
