Valentino ventures in Indian market

Valentino, the Italian garment enterprise has entered Indian markets by signing franchising and licensing agreement with Mafatlal Luxury and Marzotto group.

The enterprise has opened an outlet at Hotel Shangri in the capital on Monday.

The Marzotto Group also controls brands like Hugo Boss, Missono and Marlboro Classics.

Sheetal Mafatlal, President of Mafatlal Luxury said that the consumers in the age group of 20-45 years were having great interest in the international brands and also had the financial capability to afford these products.

Valentino said that India was rich in fabric and colour and he was keen to attract working women.

The store will focus on handbags, footwear, small leather goods, belts, and other accessories for both men and women and will retail brands like Valentino Garavani.

Second to be retailed would be Valentino Roma, which is an easy to wear line of women's clothing for women aged between 25 and 40 year age group.

R E D Valentino, the third line focuses mainly on young and modern buyers upto 25 years of age.
