RedEnvelope Inc appoints new Vice President of Merchandising

RedEnvelope Inc announced the appointment of Scott Loly as the Company's Vice President of Merchandising. Mr. Loly will be responsible for the overall strategic direction of the Company's product offerings, development of products and management of the merchandising and product development teams.

Mr. Loly brings 22 years of highly relevant experience to RedEnvelope, having served in a broad range of merchandising roles.

Most recently, he was senior merchant at Design Within Reach Inc, and responsible for an extensive range of product categories, including the development and introduction of new initiatives for kids and accessories.

Previously, Mr. Loly served in various merchandise management roles for Gap Inc, as a Senior Buyer at Williams- Sonoma Inc and as a merchandise manager at Banana Republic.

Mr. Loly began his career in retail in the Executive Development Training Program at Macy's. The Company currently anticipates that Mr. Loly will begin his new role with the Company on August 14, 2006.
