7 For All Mankind LLC, the leader in luxury denim, has announced the appointment of Michael Egeck as Chief Executive Officer of the company effective August 15, 2006.
Egeck will lead the strategic direction of 7 For All Mankind, supervising all of the company's functional arenas. Egeck has extensive experience in the apparel, footwear, and accessories industries.
For the past six years, Egeck has been with VF Corporation, one of the world's largest apparel companies. Between 2004 and 2006, he served as President of VF Outdoor Inc, overseeing The North Face, Vans, JanSport, Eastpak, Napapijri, and Reef brands.
Serving as President of The North Face from 2000 to 2004, Egeck led the successful turnaround and rapid growth of the brand after its acquisition by VF. In addition, he also directed the thriving acquisitions of both the Vans brand in 2004 and the Reef brand in 2005. During his tenure with VF Outdoor, total group sales increased from $368 million to $1.455 billion and operating income increased from $26 million to $233 million.
Prior to working at VF, Egeck launched the Sportswear division of Columbia Sportswear in 1992 where he oversaw the brand's exponential growth in sales and profitability for eight years. He began his career with Seattle Pacific Industries Inc, owner of Unionbay and other denim driven sportswear brands.
Egeck will report to the Board of Directors of 7 For All Mankind and will work closely with Peter Koral, Chairman and President of the company.
