Baume & Mercier to launch new Laureus brand watch

Baume & Mercier is proud to announce their partnership with the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation USA; charities founded to fund and promote the use of sport as a tool for change throughout the world. The U.S. Board members include Edwin Moses, John McEnroe, Nadia Comaneci and Michael Johnson.
To honor this partnership, Baume & Mercier has created a Laureus watch, which will be sold in select retail outlets throughout the United States. This limited edition CapeLand watch is a part of a numbered series (x/1000) and has a steel case with a white dial, silvered numerals and a personalized Laureus logo. The back of the case is numbered and engraved with each of the four board member's signatures. A portion of the proceeds from each sold watch will be donated to the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation.
A Laureus watch commemorative book including interviews with the board members and photography by the world-renowned photographer Gerard Rancinan will accompany each watch sold. The Rancinan photography will also be used for an advertising campaign and point-of-sale materials, which will be produced in the fall.
Laureus Sport for Good Foundation inspires hope in struggling communities by encouraging youth and young adults to participate in sport while simultaneously tackling pressing social issues such as drug abuse, homelessness and gang violence. Members of Laureus w ork with organizations to identify a number of key social issues, which would benefit from the influence of sports-related programs.
