handarbeit & hobby will be creative, lively and commited this year. Europe's biggest event of its kind, h&h will take place from 31 March to 2 April 2006 at the Cologne Exhibition Grounds and will be more varied and appealing than ever with some 200 suppliers from 22 countries.
Inspiration, entertainment and new products galore will be presented in fashion shows with the latest collections from 'Initiative Handarbeit' and individual exhibitors, a comprehensive workshop programme, the first speed knitting championships on German soil as well as a particularly diverse support programme and numerous special shows.
Moreover, this year h&h will enjoy musical accompaniment for the first time – and all for a good cause. Trade visitors from throughout the world will be greeted in the entrance area by a variety of local bands.
Their motto is 'knit and rock for the rain forest' and they want to help save ecologically precious habitat with music, a good atmosphere, a tombola and fund-raising campaign. The organiser, Messe Frankfurt Ausstellungen GmbH, will also demonstrate its commitment to the environment by donating 50 cents per admission ticket sold towards protecting the endangered rain forests.
