Copeland Sports, a leading specialty sports retailer, based in California, has commenced the orderly liquidation of eleven stores located in California, Utah, Nevada and Oregon.
Copeland stores began store-closing sales on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 through Great American Group, one of the largest professional liquidation firms in the country.
Barry Soosman, Copeland Sports new CEO stated, "Closing these stores was a difficult decision, but one that was necessary for the long term economic benefit of the company. Our remaining 20 stores are open for business as usual."
Copeland Sports sells name brand athletic footwear and apparel as well as seven fully stocked and expertly staffed specialty shops including Golf, Fitness, Boardshop, Women's, Outdoors, Cycle and Athletics.
