The new Burton Tokyo store got off to a flying start with parties, special guests and world premiere of the Burton Movie 'For Right or Wrong'.
Located in neighborhood of Harajuku and designed by Japanese architect Nobuo Araki, Snowboard maker Burton's first Tokyo store is now open to the Japanese snowboarding community. The hallmark of the store is its features like powder white floors, walls and fixtures.
The first floor, named 'Powder Stash', showcases Burton boards, boots and bindings inside a white playground-style fence that entices riders to enter and have fun with the product.
A Lodge above Powder Stash displays Burton outerwear, apparel and accessories in a mix of vintage and new furniture. At the same time, it gives the feeling of a modern mountain lodge with warm wood walls, floors, ceilings and fixtures.
On the top, the Rider Lounge offers laptops, a foosball table, video projector, a team wall and a small 'Cold Room' for trying on outerwear.
