The new fabric collection presented by the Bühler based Christian Eschler AG for the winter 2007/2008 demonstrates a clear adherence to the company's proven 3layer system for underwear, insulation and weather protection. Thanks to an extensive line of high performance fabrics and numerous innovations, the Swiss knitwear specialist is in a position to offer garment manufacturers an optimal range of options when it comes to selecting ideal materials for every layer in their sport clothing collections.
Layer 1: Knit Fabrics for Functional Underwear and Shirts Two different dye absorbing polyester yarns were used in the development of a series of new ATMOS jacquard materials. These materials enable one to achieve visually compelling duotone effects.
Thanks to the optimization of various elastic properties, Eschler has succeeded in meeting the demanding specifications of manufacturers of cycling clothing. All newly manufactured articles in polyester/spandex now undergo a special refinement process. This additional finishing enables one to both significantly reduce heat shrink during the transfer printing process and to eliminate the disposition of fabrics (including cutout parts) to curl at the edges.
Layer 2: Insulation The line of knit fabrics outfitted with the Schoeller 3xDRY technology has been newly expanded through the addition of a spot knitted fabric made of polyamide/spandex. Moreover, thanks to the space interval, the fleecy inside of the 350g/m2 material offers outstanding heat insulation directly on the skin.
