Italian fashion and apparel major, the $833-million Sixty Group has signed an exclusive franchising and trading partnership with Delhi-based Indus Clothing, the Rs80-crore manufacturer of apparel brands such as Disney and Rifle.

Indus had recently broken off with Lee Cooper and has entered into a nine-year contract with Sixty Group.

The Sixty Group is bringing two of its flagship brands – Miss Sixty and Energie with former being a high-end jeans, footwear and accessories brand for women and the latter a high-fashion menswear denim brand.

Indus Clothing has plans to set up standalone stores for Miss Sixty and Energie with four stores in first year, informed HP Singh, Indus Clothing MD.

Initially Delhi store will open this month, followed by Mumbai, Chandigarh and Bangalore with focus on high-street locations instead of malls, said Singh.

The Sixty Group has established branches in Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and now India.

Miss Sixty T-shirts will priced upwards of Rs1,500, jeans and footwear will price between Rs6,500 and 7,000 a pair.

First year sales are targeted at Rs6 crore for Miss Sixty and Energie with Indus Clothing plans to achieve volumes with lower-priced labels such as Disney and Rifle.
