Sheikh Ali al-Sabah, a senior member of the Kuwaiti ruling family has inaugurated 57th shopping centre for LULU Hypermarket and supermarkets in Al Rai area in Kuwait yesterday.
Several prominent members of the Kuwaiti community, top Government officials and Indian Ambassador M Ganapathy were present at the opening as Lulu is one of the largest retail chains in the Middle East.
The hypermarket, which is located in the Dream Mall complex, has showrooms of leading jewellery outlets Atlas and Damas, and Amalia Perfumes among others on its premises.
The EMKE Group, which runs the LuLu Hypermarkets and Supermarkets has operations in 16 countries.
The group is planning to open nine more new hypermarkets and shopping malls in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and India this year.
