4004 Incorporated, India, the global procurement hub and strategic affiliate of America's fastest growing retail chain, Steve & Barry's University Sportswear, has announced that the company is rebranding into the 'Unisource Group'. This change in corporate identity has been brought about in order to solidify the company's position on an international level and is in keeping with the phenomenal off the charts growth that the company has been witnessing.

4004 Incorporated, as an entity, will continue to function and will serve as the primary division of the Unisource Group, accompanied by its international satellite offices, which will form the secondary division.The Mumbai headquarters and the international satellite offices will now function under the flagship of the Unisource Group, headed by Mr.Avirat Sonpal.

Commenting on this development, Avirat Sonpal, Managing Director, Unisource Group, stated, “The word Unisource means 'a single source of all things.' This fits in very well with our vision to be the single source of all our affiliates' business requirements. We serve as the link that ties-in our vendors with our affiliate, and in so doing, act as the one-stop-shop for all Steve & Barry's needs. Unisource also means 'universal sourcing' which means we research every part of the globe to fulfill our sourcing and procurement requisites.”

The Unisource Group is set to procure 70-100 million pieces– including, sellable and non-sellable merchandiseglobally in 2007. Of this, 20- 25%, which consists mostly of knits and woven's, shall be procured from India.
