Fenac 2008 - promotional event for leather-footwear industry

Over one year ahead of time, Fenac S/A and its partner institutions have already announced the date for the 2008 Fimec edition: April 8 to 11.

Considered the largest one in the Americas in the area of Leather, Chemicals, Components and Accessories, Equipment and Machinery for Footwear and Tanneries the fair is expected to bring approximately 1,200 exhibitors from 25 countries and 54 thousand visitors from all continents.

The launching event took place last March 13 at Hotel Mabu, and was attended by Fenac directors, representatives from institutions related to the industry and politicians, who were led by the mayor of Novo Hamburgo, Jair Foscarini.

Fimec 2008, whose slogan is "Every fashion and technology development at your fingertips", has the purpose of being a real hallmark in the industry, showcasing the most significant features generated by the worldwide leather-footwear market. To that end, the organizers have been working at a unique advertising strategy.

"We are developing a new type of approach, taking part in the main international events and conveying not only Fimec's potential and power, but the entire industry's. We have been to countries like Mexico, Italy, India and China, among others, developing work that shall be carried out throughout the year ", explains Júlio Cézar Camerini, Fenac S/A president-director.

In addition to the significant amount of exhibitors, which present their main releases annually, Fimec 2008 intends to create even more reasons to attract visitors. Among them is holding a program bringing concurrent activities developed by partner institutions, such as lectures, symposiums, seminar, and other projects.
