The Walking Company debuts in Maine with premium comfort footwear

The Walking Company announced it will open a new location in South Portland, Maine, its first location in the state, on April 13.
The new 1,725 square-foot location will feature the latest styles and designs from more than 40 premium comfort footwear brands such as ECCO, Mephisto and Dansko. The Walking Company also offers a wide selection of comfort footwear from hard-to-find quality brands from around the world such as Pikolinos and Beautifeel. The store will offer a comprehensive selection for every walk of life, including dress shoes, sandals, clogs, boots and active.
"Maine is one of the few states in which we did not have any presence, so we are naturally very pleased to expand in the northern most part of the East Coast," said Lee Cox, Senior Vice President of Retail at The Walking Company. "Mainers live in a climate where footwear is a big factor, and we're going to be bringing them a wide selection of name brand shoes that will keep their feet comfortable, warm and dry all year round."
The new store will be located at The Maine Mall, 364 Main Mall Road, South Portland, ME 04106. Mall hours are Monday-Saturday, 9:30 a.m.-9:00 p.m. and Sunday 11:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
All of the footwear sold by The Walking Company comes with the company's promise of authentic comfort, which guarantees every product sold is manufactured to provide a maximum level of comfort to the wearer all day long. All products are made with the highest quality materials and unsurpassed craftsmanship.
