Douglas sells four Rene Kern jewellery stores to Bucherer

With effect of July 1, 2007, DOUGLAS HOLDING AG is selling four René Kern jewelry stores to Bucherer Deutschland GmbH of Munich.
The stores in question are located in Berlin (Friedrichstrasse), Düsseldorf (Königsallee), Frankfurt (Kaiserstrasse) and Hamburg (Jungfernstieg).
Bucherer will be retaining all of the employees at these venues.
By selling these four René Kern locations to Bucherer, the DOUGLAS Group is focusing its jewelry activities on the Juwelier Christ brand which currently operates some 200 stores across Germany.
The two René Kern shops at Frankfurt Airport will remain within the DOUGLAS Group's portfolio and continue to operate autonomously under a new name.
