SEIKO Watch Corporation, the leading global watch maker, announced its foray in India by unveiling a wide range of its latest, premium international watches.
SEIKO launched its latest range of wrist-watches through 'Sportura', 'Spring drive' and 'Premier' collections. A total of over 110 watches are being launched in India.
The overall SEIKO range will maintain a 'classy active' look and will target the young and upwardly mobile Indian consumer in the age-group of 25-40 years.
SEIKO wrist-watches embody precision, hi-end technology for split second accuracy with a range of new distinctive styles for work, leisure or sports.
In keeping with its rich 126 year old legacy of being an innovator, SEIKO, noted for inventing the first wrist-watch, quartz, chronographs and spring drive has now invented 'kinetic' – the world's first watch technology powered by 'kinetic energy'. The 'Sportura' and 'Premier' collections in India will offer watches featuring this new-age 'Kinetic' technology.
Worldwide, Kinetic technology is synonymous with environmental friendliness, high performance and long-lasting convenience to a generation of users. From the launch of Kinetic powered watch in 1988 and until now, over eight million watches have been sold worldwide.
Kinetic uses natural arm motion to generate electricity to power the watch. This solves the problem of high power drain in the conventional quartz chronographs. The SEIKO Kinetic technology enabled watches never need a battery change.
