Rado, the Swiss watchmaker and design pioneer, opens its first European flagship store in the heart of the city – an invitation to step from the bustling streets into a mirrored cube.
Commissioned to develop a representative environment for products defined by design, Austrian architect Andreas Burghardt has taken up the Swiss brand's characteristic obsession with materials and endless flows, absolutes and ultimate innovation.
The result is a strikingly sculptural enclosure - a space producing endless multiplications on luminescent surfaces.
Staged dramatically, the products appear to be floating in space - their unlimited reflections apparently extensions and expressions of each other. The space becomes an unexpected image of reality.
