Peter Mahmet has been a part of the apparel and footwear business for years. He is the typical male who wants products that represent his personality -- as well as fit his body. He finds apparel shopping almost a mission impossible. As majority of his friends do. As a typical male, he has experienced yo-yo dieting, divorce, motorcycling, hot rods, and women. But what apparel can he buy that fits his image?
For some reason he can't understand, the men's market has designed products that are tight fitting, of poor quality, and styled to represent bowling shirts, camp shirts, floral prints, cargo pants, and -- even worse -- golf apparel. "Why do I have to look like this?" Mahmet says.
In response, he and his team have been developing footwear under the WICKED ROAD WARRIOR brand, and have decided to offer apparel products that fit the average American male. These products have utilitarian styling with patch pockets, epaulets, and cell pockets, along with full-fitting bodies and XXL sizing that is hard to get in everyday stores. He calls the line WICKED SPORTWEAR. It is a little edgy, has great fabrics and colors, and says, "I am your everyday person, but my apparel tells you what I am. I want to wear clothing that expresses my lifestyle -- a motorhead, need-for-speed-and-action kind of guy."
The line is having its second introduction at the upcoming WEST COAST EXCLUSIVE that is part of the Magic Show. The products are available at select retail stores or wickedboots.com.
