Raksha Taveez highlights concept of wearing amulets & talismans

The Diamond Destination has been the pioneer of spiritual jewellery in the country. As the festive season kicks off, ORRA launches its tenth collection in the spiritual series, The RAKSHA TAVEEZ Collection, based on the deep rooted tradition of amulets and talismans to ward off evil and bring good fortune.
The collection draws inspiration from religious scriptures and other historical literature across Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism and Islam and has been designed under the able guidance of India's renowned archeologist & the former Director of Archaeology and Museums of the Govt of Maharashtra Dr. A. P. Jamkhedkar.
It features spiritual motifs like Ganesha, Rudraksha, Krishna, Mahalaxmi, Shiva, Hanuman and, for the first time, a very special piece dedicated to the Islamic tradition symbolizing Allah.
The Raksha Taveez collection highlights the concept of wearing amulets or talismans as charms – a notion that has been a part of the Indian ethos since time immemorial.
It is believed that wearing these charms is auspicious and brings about mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing and protects the wearer from all forms of negativity.
These pieces are inscribed with the images of deities and gods and the belief is that the religious image or motif will act as a “kavacha” or armour against all harms and work like a lucky charm.
Mr. Vijay Jain, CEO, ORRA says “ORRA has always been at the forefront of design innovation in jewellery. With our spiritual collections, the objective is to increase awareness on spirituality rather than merely focus on religion."
