Danner Inc celebrates its 75th anniversary. A strong heritage of quality, durability and customer service continues to drive Danner's success after 75 years of superior footwear development.
“Danner has a strong tradition of creating quality footwear that is overbuilt for today's expert, whether trekking an expedition or patrolling our streets to keep America safe,” said Joseph P. Schneider, president and CEO of Danner Inc.
“After 75 years we can certainly say we've learned that having a quality product makes all the difference. Our heritage makes us strong, but we know that listening to what our consumers want is the best thing we can do in creating superior product.”
Danner opened its doors in 1932, and more than developing premium product, Danner looked to create a solution for consumer needs. More than 30 years ago, Danner developed their famous stichdown construction method and designed their first medium weight hiking boot, considered to be one of the most ideal hiking boots available at that time.
In 1979, Danner changed the footwear landscape as one of the first to use GORE-TEX fabric inside a boot to create waterproof hiking footwear with the introduction of the Danner Light.
Since then, Danner has continued to innovate with some of the most durable work and outdoor footwear, including the new multisport EXO Edge shoe, available at retail in December. Danner recognized the consumer need for a lightweight breathable shoe, developed with Danner's commitment to quality and durability.
