Emami confirms payment of dividend @ 150%

Emami Ltd has informed that the members at the 24th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Company held on September 25, 2007, inter alia, have accorded to the following:
1. Adoption of the Audited Balance Sheet of the Company as on March 31, 2007 and Profit and Loss Account for the Year ended on that date along with the Reports of Directors and Auditors thereon, Management Discussion Analysis and Corporate Governance Report.

2. Confirmation of payment of dividend @ 150% i.e. interim @ 100% & special @ 50% and further declare final dividend @ 50% on the Equity Shares of the Company for the Financial Year ended March 31, 2007.

3. Re-appointment of Shri R S Goenka, Shri Viren J Shah, Shri S K Todi & Shri Mohan Goenka, as Directors of the Company.

4. Re-appointment of M/s. S K Agrawal & Co., Chartered Accountants, as Auditors of the Company to hold office until the conclusion of the next Annual General Meeting of the Company for audit of Accounts of the Company including Branch offices, for the financial year 2007-08, on remuneration, terms & conditions.

5. Authority to the Board of Directors of the Company to contribute and / or subscribe from time to time in any financial year to any institution, society, person, trust or fund or any other charitable or other purpose, not directly related to the business of the Company or welfare of its employees upto a sum of Rs 10,00,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Crores) in any financial year, notwithstanding suchamount exceeds Rs 50,000/- or 5% of the Company's average net profit as determined in accordance with the Companies Act, 1956 during the three financial years immediately preceding, whichever is greater, subject to necessary provisions & approvals.
