With the launch of its Cero-Eco line, the Cloggens is offering the first molded coamfort shoes made with sustainable fabrics and recycled materials.
The new styles feature either hemp or bamboo fabric uppers, and recycled material formula in both the shoe body and the outsole – to create comfortable, earth-friendly footwear.
According to Cloggens Co-founder Troy Lewis, the Cero-Eco line represents the company's long-term commitment to a sustainable approach to the design and production of its shoes.
“Every effort counts in helping care for the environment,” said Lewis. “Cloggens will continue looking for ways to recycle, reduce waste, and incorporate eco-friendly materials into its shoes.”
Cero-Eco Line: The Cero-Eco is the newest addition to the popular Cero product family – blending comfort and “green” style. Each model features an eco-fiber fabric upper, recycled molded EVA in the shoe body, and a recycled rubber outsole.
Designed on a women's specific last and including Cloggens' patented removable Comfasoles footbed, the Cero-Eco comes in three distinct styles for women:
• Cero-Eco/Hemp: this stylish model features a breathable hemp upper and is available in a fashion-forward frayed finish. Colors: Adobe and Blue.
• Cero-Eco/Bamboo: a moisture-wicking bamboo fabric upper is hypoallergenic and naturally anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. Color: Natural.
All Cero-Eco shoes are available beginning in February 2008.
