Los Angeles-based international jewelry company House of Taylor Jewelry Inc announced that Kathy Ireland, CEO of Kathy Ireland Worldwide Inc and Ambassador of House of Taylor Jewelry, will be honored as "The Entrepreneurial Champion of 2005" on September 24 by The Committee of 200 at San Francisco's Museum of Modern Art.
The Committee of 200 is an organization of pre-eminent businesswomen, including entrepreneurs and corporate executives, representing more than 100 industries in the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America. Ireland will be named "The Entrepreneurial Champion of 2005, who has created an innovative new product or service with global implications." According to Forbes magazine ("The Model Mogul," July 2004), her company did $1 billion in retail sales in 2003, having mushroomed in just twelve years from her beginnings as a designer of socks to a home and fashion design company with the mission of "...finding solutions for families, especially busy moms."
