Danner Inc, a subsidiary of LaCrosse Footwear Inc, a leading provider of branded work and outdoor footwear for expert users, delivered the fully rebuilt and refurbished 1974 International Scout to Expert Overhaul winner, Ann Muth of Louisville, KY. Danner developed the Expert Overhaul sweepstakes to engage fans in a complete frame-off rebuild of the vehicle, to be restored to the expert-grade standards customers have come to expect from Danner.
Ms. Muth, a nurse practitioner from Louisville, learned of the Expert Overhaul sweepstakes online and decided to purchase a pair of Danner hunting boots for her nephew. Coming from a family of outdoor enthusiasts, she has used Danner boots for many years.
“Danner is a brand my family believes in, and I'm so thrilled to have won this one-of-kind International Scout,” said Ms. Muth. “The truck is rebuilt with tremendous precision and care and looks like it will last forever; I wouldn't expect anything less from Danner.”
Danner selected the 1974 International Scout for its authenticity and heritage, something that Danner customers identify with in choosing their Danner footwear of choice. The sweepstakes kicked off October 1, 2007 and ran for three months at nearly 1,000 participating retailers and online at danner.com. Ms. Muth was selected at random as the winner on January 15, 2008.
Customers participated in the rebuild choosing Scout features online, including the exterior color scheme. Danner'sprofessional overhaul crew worked hard to ensure the frame-off rebuild was restored with the same Danner promise of quality and craftsmanship that customers expect from the brand.
