Chennai opens up to embrace 24 carat gold line from Pranda

Popular Thailand-based branded jewelry company Pranda Jewellery Public Company (PCL), recently launched its exclusive 24 carat gold product line in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

Prima Gold and Prima Art, two of the company's globally renowned brands were introduced during the launch function and are expected to receive excellent response from the Indian market.

Pranda zeroed in on Chennai in accordance with the market survey which shows that Tamil Nadu is the largest gold market in India having numerous retail gold jewelry marts. Besides, since the yellow metal is in the list of products for bilateral free trade agreement (FTA), it gives a greater market access in India.

Pranda Group has plans to expand its domain to other Indian states as well and will include its other precious metals and gem stones collection for sale. The company made a debut after studying in detail about the Indian consumer behavior in the domestic gold market. The research revealed that presently the highest purity of gold accepted and sold in India is of 22 carat so there is no reason why the 24 carat jewelry from Pranda will not create a robust demand.

The company, which is entering Indian market through Trusted Retail Jewellery (TRJ), has aimed to make its presence felt across the Indian sub-continent within a period of three years and achieve an annual sale of 50,000 pieces of Prima Art and 300 kilograms in Prima Gold.
