A.J. Wright brings real fall fashion to Albany residents

A.J. Wright, a leading off-price clothing store that offers quality, well-known brands at great prices, is Westgate Plaza's newest resident.
Beginning Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, A.J. Wright will open its doors at 911 Central Avenue, Suite B2, Albany, N.Y, 12206.
A.J. Wright offers significant values on family apparel and footwear, accessories, home fashions, giftware, including toys and games, and special, opportunistic purchases.
Customers benefit from prices that are up to 70 percent off discount and chain store name brand prices.
A.J. Wright store hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The store will remain open until 10 p.m. on Thursday to accommodate grand opening shoppers.
"We're excited to bring real fashion to Albany residents," said Kathy Clair, A.J. Wright manager of marketing. "We're encouraging families to come see the store on Thursday and start finding their own real deals.
Our authentic merchandise mix changes weekly, so customers always have a fresh selection of stylish, affordable clothing."
As an added economic benefit, the new Albany A.J. Wright store brings more than 50 new jobs to the area. A.J. Wright grand opening festivities kickoff on Thursday at 8:45 a.m. with a special presentation to the Albany Boys & Girls Clubs.
A representative from the Boys & Girls Clubs, as well as local dignitaries, will be present as A.J. Wright representatives make a donation to the organization.
Furthermore, A.J. Wright supports the Boys & Girls Clubs nationally through various in-store campaigns.
"A.J. Wright's donation to our organization displays a clear commitment to the Albany community," said Penny Holmes, executive director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany.
"We look forward to this continued partnership and enhancing the quality of life for the youth in the Boys & Girls Clubs."
Following the check presentation, the store ribbon cutting will take place with A.J. Wright store team members and local dignitaries on hand.
Beginning at 9:00 a.m, Albany residents in attendance can take advantage of several unique promotions. The first 100 store visitors will receive a $20 gift card.
Throughout the day, the grand opening will feature an open casting call for aspiring fashion models in a search for the newest face of A.J. Wright.
Customers are encouraged to model their favorite look at a fashion photo shoot at the store. The casting call will run from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The winner may be featured as a model in an A.J. Wright advertisement, and will receive $250 as well as the clothes they modeled.
