Indian Retail School bags 'Star Supplier of the Year Award'

Indian Retail School, first-of-its kind retail education and research center in India has been awarded with the 'Star Supplier of the Year award '08', which was hosted by Franchise India Holdings Ltd. The award winners were announced at the conclusion of the two-day 6th International Franchise and Retail Show.

On this occasion of the 6th International Franchise seminar and 3rd 'Star Retailer Awards 08', 18 companies have received trophies for the commendable work in their respective categories. Indian Retail School was the proud recipient of 'Star Supplier of the Year award '08' award for their contribution in providing the best service to the Retail Industry in the form of training and education in Retail. There were a number of contenders for this award but Indian Retail School was deservedly considered the best.

The objective of organizing Star Retailer Awards was to celebrate excellence in the retail business, to promote and motivate organized retail and to set parameters for excellence for consistency in performance. The awards aimed to recognize excellence and innovation in retail, which has ensued in year 2008. Teamwork, enthusiasm, knowledge and commitment in a retail organization together create the buzz that transforms an everyday shopping experience into a genuine retail therapy.

Speaking on the occasion, Major Panday, CEO, Indian Retail School said, “Looking at the potential in the burgeoning retail industry sector we train our students in a way to establish a holistic, multi-disciplinary and multi-sensory way of bringing the best in them. Representatives from the prominent retail companies like Reliance, McDonald's India, Cinemax India Ltd., Shoppers Stop Ltd, Big Bazaar, Kimaya Fashions Pvt. Ltd., Gitanjali Jewels, Adidas India, Ferns 'N' Petals, The Mobile Store Ltd were present at the ceremony along with several invitees from overseas. All the above-mentioned companies were Star Retailer award recipients.
