Menswear Day by Digvijay, Rohit, Abhishek & S Hingu at LFW - Day 2

Digvijay Singh for Bhusattva gave an organic fashion slant to men's wear
The look was very ethnic with a touch of western influence but the fabrics were organic cotton all the way coloured with herbal dyes, for the collection designed by Digvijay Singh for the Bhusattva label. Dressing his men in variations of the Bund gala and the Jodhpur trousers, Digvijay added some muted colour blocking for both garments in shades of orange, ecru, brown, beige and rust.

Hoods either attached or separate gave a rustic slant to the creations. Interesting detailing was cuffed narrow pants, half placket slim kurtas, shoulder and yoke patches, taped narrow trousers and unstructured one button jackets. The styling was elegant and the detailing discreet, making this an avant garde men's look for the next season.

Sanjay Hingu moved away from the conventional path for men's wear
It was a sleek rather flamboyant men's wear line that Sanjay Hingu displayed - mixing suits, bomber jackets, blousons and knits with a very distinct arrow motif to give more options. Printed silk hoodies, collarless jackets, marble print bund gala suits, zippered cropped jackets, some very unconventional horizontal striped suit, an unusual grey embroidered suit with back buttons and a final shaded one button silk jacket.

The silhouettes were ultra lean for both the trousers and jackets and the shades of grey, black, brown, for silk, velvet, jacquard and suiting matched the mood of the coming season. Here was a collection that a man with a stylish streak will enjoy wearing.

Rohit and Abhishek created innovative men's garments
Men's wear made a new fashion statement from Rohit and Abhishek as they sent out a black satin peak lapel suit, followed by a black jacquard Jodhpur jacket, a velvet smoking coat, double breast velvet jacket with silk stripes, a military coat, and a trendy laser cut jumpsuit - some with contrast trims. Interesting construction and quilting added to the look of the collection.

There were some casual jumpsuits with multiple pockets, while red fabric slashes appeared as insets for jackets in various forms on the front or back. The silhouettes were once again body hugging with one to four button closures for the jackets. One solitary angarkha tunic with Jodhpur pants was the only ethnic offering. TV and Bollywood star Tisca Chopra was the show stopper in an all male show when she appeared in a gold Lurex suit.
