Relaxo Footwears forays into Western India

Relaxo Footwears Limited, one of the largest footwear producing company, has forayed into western India by launching their three stores in the state of Gujarat. In a press conference Mr.Jitendra Jena, VP, HR & Corporate Strategy, Relaxo Footwears Limited, said, "At Relaxo we always believe in delivering Quality par Excellence.
After getting huge responses from the people of North India, we have decided to carry our motto of providing quality products at affordable price to our customers in Western India and these three stores are the starting point of our ambition. Earlier we were mostly present in Northern India and now we are planning to move in every part of the country, more focus on the western part of India , seeing the huge market potential.
Total No. of Relaxo Outlets is 83 all over India and we are planning to reach 100 stores by the end of this year. Presently No. of stores-83 Plans to reach 100 stores by March 2010. USP-Quality products at an affordable price Production Capacity 3 Lakh pairs per day. The range of Relaxo has collections from formal to casual shoes in Men's, women's and kid's category.
This collection of reasonably priced yet incredibly comfortable shoes includes formal shoes, sports shoes, canvas shoes, sandals, floaters, slippers,school shoes, fashionable sandals and shoes for ladies, furthermore they are available under the brand name of Relaxo Hawai, Sparx, Flite, School Mate , Mary Jane, Boston and Kids fun. In this occasion, Mr. Kewal Dhar, Retail Head (Operations), Relaxo Footwears Limited said, "We are really excited at the launch of Relaxo Retail outlets in Gujarat. In the terms of Quality par Excellence, Mr. Dhar added "we are trying to give quality products to our consumers at a very affordable price.
On answering about the question of "customers enter with a smile and leave with a smile", he said, "It has been our constant endeavour to reach out to masses and offer world-class shopping experience at affordable value. We are also coming with more stores in the cities like Vadodara, Valsad, Naysari, Anand, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Junagarh, Porbandar, Bhuj, Gandhidham, Mehsana and Palanpur".
