Fine jewelry retailer Ross-Simons launches web videos

Leading luxury fashion brand and retailer of fine jewelry, gifts and collectibles, Ross-Simons is launching the first in a series of web videos on its Web site on December 15, 2005.

Lauren Koslow, the gorgeous and accomplished actress who plays Kate Roberts on Days of their Lives, and Darrell Ross, the President of Ross-Simons, host the presentations.

The web videos have been designed to highlight the most popular items in the jewelry line each season and to give customers a backstage view into the trends and styles that the company has developed with some of the finest international jewelry makers.

"They believe this innovative approach is not only enlightening their customers about jewelry but also empowering them by giving them the tools to know what matters when it comes to purchasing fine jewelry," said Ross.

He continued, "This is going to upgrade their traditional marketing practices by giving them a chance to differentiate."

The company began more than 50 years ago as a retail business in downtown Providence, Rhode Island.

From there, it developed a business that now mails over 60 million catalogs annually, and it provides a robust online shopping environment.

In addition, the retail operation has grown to fifteen stores in nine states.

Ross speaks directly on camera, describes the genesis of each item, and interjects personal anecdotes.

For example, the best-selling item this season is a cameo centerpiece necklace, a stunning piece, exclusive to Ross-Simons.
