Asahi Kasei Fibers Corp is partnering the IntimaGroup Shop Awards to promote the best brand and retail innovations in the Italian and French markets.

According to an Asahi Kasei press release, IntimaGroup is renowned as the global media reference point for intimates, swim and hosiery around the world.

Each year IntimaGroup hosts the Shop Awards recognising excellence in the independent branded retailing world, in five different countries including Italy, France, USA, Germany, and UK.

Asahi Kasei makes a sophisticated range of specialty stretch solutions under its ‘Advanced Fit for Living’ Roica brand, as well as producing the sensual Cupro material.

“Both products are pitch-perfect partners to support the upcoming Shop Awards in Italy with the ‘Stelle dell’Intimo’ contest and in France by supporting ‘Top100 Meilleures Boutiques de France’,” it added.

The prizes are awarded on specific conceptual characteristics of the nominated shops and there are three categories which make up the base of the selections.

They are ‘The Reference Shop’, ‘The Personal Touch Shop’ and ‘The Concept Store’, while one extra prize in USA and Canada is for the category ‘Best European Flair Shop’.

Finally, special recognition prizes are considered for ‘Best Merchandising’, ‘Best Communication’, ‘Best Management’ and ‘Best Shop Layout’.

The IntimaGroup awards program began 20 years ago, first in Italy, a country with the most important number of independent multi-brand premium retailers.

The huge success of this first contest, Stelle dell’Intimo in Italy, convinced the IntimaGroup to expand the retailer award program internationally.

From 2004, the contest was launched in the USA, then in Germany, UK and France and today the participating brands in the jury of the contest number 75, representing the lingerie, hosiery and swimwear market.

Roica is a premium ‘Advanced Fit for Living’ stretch fibre that is produced with an innovative range of smart functions from Asahi Kasei to suit every modern wardrobe need.

Roica shapes comfort with quality, performance and fit, adding value with values to everyday living for sport, intimates, fashion, accessories and business wear.

While, Cupro is a refined material with an exquisite silk like touch and is born from smart science and a natural-based resource.

It is antistatic and regulates body temperature while its soft versatility make it perfect for the modern wardrobe’s fashions, intimates, special occasion and everyday casual wear. (AR)
