Birla Cellulose shows LIVA S/S'16 knitwear lines at Yarnex

At the Yarnex fair in Tirupur which was held from September 10-12, Birla Cellulose showcased LIVA S/S 2016 knitwear collections produced by its LIVA Accredited Partner Forum (LAPF) partners.

The Aditya Birla Group company said it is continuously strengthening its commitments towards the textile fraternity through LIVA and displayed pieces included western, skirts, kurtis, palazzos etc

“Time and again Birla Cellulose has been in the news for its innovations, initiatives and collaborations,” the company said in a press release.

“LIVA has been completely transforming the way we think about fashion in textiles, by creating an exceptional fabric keeping in line with the consumer tastes and demands across all segments,” it informed.

The LIVA S/S 2016 knitwear collection was produced from various single and blended yarns like Birla Modal or in blends with spandex, cotton, Amicor, wool, linen, PSF, PTY, etc.

Also on show were pieces made from spun dyed viscose in 100 per cent and in multi-coloured melanges with potential to save water and energy and do not emit effluents.

The company also showcased Siro compact yarns in viscose and Modal offered by Winsome Yarns, Chandigarh and Rangavilas from Coimbatore.

BP Nalawade, category head - Knits said,” Our journey of collaboration with leaders in Tirupur has been most satisfying as we not only have great viscose based knit wear but we are also part of leading brands.”

Natrajan, regional head - South too said, “I was particularly happy to see our LAPF partners showcasing their innovations like Siro compact viscose and modal, superfine modal, spun dyed vortex, viscose-viscose melange and specialty cotton modal slubs.”

According to Birla Cellulose, LIVA has made a niche for itself in the Indian domestic fashion space and foresees huge potential in knitwear segment and believe they have the right tool to reach places.

Birla Cellulose has partnered leading knitwear manufacturers and wet processors in Tirupur, who have brought out garments in viscose spandex, cotton viscose, viscose polyester, cotton modal and 100 per cent modal fabrics.

LAPF is a community of spinners, fabricators and processors who work closely with Birla Cellulose on innovation, quality and technology to deliver LIVA fabrics to consumers.

LAPF essentially exemplifies value propositions based on five strategic pillars of design and development support; technical support; vendor management support; global marketing and buyer links and market information support. (AR)
