C.L.A.S.S. announces dates of third edition of World Tour

C.L.A.S.S., the international Milan based eco-smart resource platform has announced the dates of the third edition of its World C.L.A.S.S. Tour, which will present the latest trends to brands and retailers.

The tour will visit Madrid on September 23-24, Copenhagen on September 28 -29, London on September 30 and October 1, New York on October 6-7, Paris on October 9 and Dubai on November 1-4, 2105.

Additionally, the company also announced that its CEO Giusy Bettoni was appointed as ecological textile advisor to the board of the Arab Fashion Council.

“This is one of the world's biggest non-profit organisations that represent 22 Arab countries whose aim is to promote and disseminate creatively on the Arab fashion industry,” it said in a press release.

“We look forward to the C.L.A.S.S. team presenting their Eco-Smart collection during Arab Fashion Week,” Jacob Abrian, founder and ambassador of the Arab Fashion Council said.

“The Arab Fashion Council's main objective is to nurture and develop the talents of young Arab designers through strong alliances and position them on the international fashion map,” he added.

C.L.A.S.S. also launched C.L.A.S.S. Education, whose role is to share knowledge, introduce ideas, and present smart eco-solutions to empower fashion professionals and motivate them to transform their current business model.

C.L.A.S.S. Education offers dynamic customised short and long-term programs centered in Milan that specialise in design synergy, innovative textile research and strategic communication.

The programs will introduce fashion professionals to a new generation of textile technologies and training that include onsite textile supply chain assessment, hands-on material analysis and luxury fashion tours.

“Using a design-centered approach, the programs integrate responsibility as part of a progressive business model that generates a sustainable preference in today's changing marketplace,” the company informed.

C.L.A.S.S. Education is the brainchild of long-time collaborators, Giusy Bettoni and James Mendolia, a creative-thinker, experienced product developer and educator.

Mendolia's product development knowledge, ongoing research in Italy, and academic leadership at Parsons School of Design offer invaluable insights into program developments.

In January 2016, using the Milan Headquarters as a base, C.L.A.S.S. Education is offering an exciting program titled 'Innovative Textile Solutions: Eco-Fashion Workshop'. (AR)
