Fashion brand Diesel has announced that it will produce a limited edition collection for the Indian Premier League (IPL) defending champions Mumbai Indians which is owned by Reliance Industries.

The first collection will be launched later this year followed by a second release in the spring of 2017 and will be sold globally in all major cricket playing markets.

In a press release, Nita Ambani of Mumbai Indians said this collaboration with Diesel is a mark of truly global recognition for the brand Mumbai Indians.

"It's a momentous step for Mumbai Indians to be recognized as the most preferred global brand partner, becoming the first sports club from India to expand its footprint globally," she said.

Diesel will be producing an exclusive line of merchandise comprising both top and bottom-wear. The collection will be available globally across popular cricket playing nations like Australia, England, South Africa among others through the Diesel footprint.

In India, all the 11 stores of Diesel will stock the exclusive collection.

Renzo Rosso, founder, Diesel, said this unique collaboration with Mumbai Indians is an opportunity to fuse the Diesel creativity with the emotion and passion of the Mumbai Indians fans globally. (SH)
