ZOOM, the industry show for ready-to-wear, accessories and household linen manufacturers from the Euromed region (Central and western Europe, Eastern Europe, North Africa) and the Indian Ocean (Madagascar and Mauritius), is optimising its B2B strategy and expanding its sourcing offer.

New positioning: An event in the Première Vision portfolio and under the management of PV
Manufacturing since 2013, ZOOM is geared up for a major change this September when it leaves Hall 2 of the Paris Nord-Villepinte Convention and Exhibition Centre to take its place at the heart of Première Vision Pluriel, in Hall 6 North-East.

This new positioning will enable manufacturers taking part in ZOOM to benefit from the complementary nature of this umbrella event grouping 6 shows and in particular to forge links with Première Vision’s weavers.

In turn, this will enable ZOOM to present the manufacturing, logistics and service solutions more coherently and effectively, promoting top-quality sourcing solutions that are local, fast and reliable for fashion brands looking to expand their product ranges.

ZOOM, a steady updated offer: 134 exhibitors – chiefly ready-to-wear, accessories, household linen and leather product manufacturers – have so far been announced for the September 2014 session. 12 will be exhibiting for the very first time, and include companies from countries new to the show, such as Egypt and Greece (with 1 exhibitor each), whose renowned textiles and clothing sector is experiencing significant recovery after a difficult past few years.

Morocco and Tunisia will once again top the countries represented at the show, with 31 and 19 exhibitors respectively, showcasing a wealth of textile skills including highly specialized companies in the workwear, footwear and beachwear manufacturing sectors. Romania (15), Mauritius (15), Always eagerly awaited by visitors, Portugal (10) and Lithuania (7) will again have a significant presence. This session they’ll be offering targeted solutions covering all areas of manufacturing.

France will again affirm its contribution to quality manufacturing, with around 15 companies signed up so far, raising their profile among their international counterparts.

Some surprises:
-Moldova will be increasing the number of exhibitors to 10 this year, followed by Turkey with 7 exhibitors, approximately 30% more than at the previous show.
-Madagascar makes a comeback with even more exhibitors at this session.

Spotlight on Hyères
Kenta Matsushige, winner of the Hyères Fashion Festival 2014 (Première Vision is a partner), will be showcasing a selection of the designs from his award-winning collection in Hall 6, at the entrance to ZOOM and Première Vision. ZOOM gives Hyères Festival contestants access to the show’s exhibitors’ prototyping and manufacturing expertise.

Winner of the Première Vision Grand Jury prize at the Hyères International Festival 2014, the designer’s creations are inspired by visual disconnects, like the artists Walter de Laria and Lee Ufanqui who exhibit their pieces in a nature setting, often on the Japanese island of Naoshima. “My collections aim to be urban and modern, whilst respecting hinabi, pastoral beauty, which is in contrast to miyabi, urban beauty,” says Matsushige.
