Gaurav Gupta launches its first flagship store in Kolkata

Product profile: The store houses Gaurav Gupta’s progressive bridal couture, women’s haute couture along with GG Man for weddings and occasion wear. To celebrate this occasion, the brand presents its latest couture collection ‘Undercurent’. For the bride, the outfits are perfectly moulded and available in the shades of violet, lava red, ivory and ecru. GG Man includes tuxedos, embroidered bandhgalas and sherwanis in jacquards, velvets and suiting in monochromatic blacks, whites, ivory and midnight blues.

Store design | Interiors & VM | Fixtures: The store has dedicated space for menswear and womenswear. Divided by a mezzanine the GG man is showcased on the top floor and ground floor displays womenswear. Architecturally, the old and new are brought together in store for a harmonious contrast, bevelled mirror edges are interspersed in the space to create a feeling of endlessness and the imperial aura is heightened with chandeliers.

About the company: Fashion designer Gaurav Gupta is amongst the pioneers of futuristic designing in ethnicwear for men and women. This store is an addition to the three of the brand’s stores currently operating at Kalka Das Marg, Mehrauli and DLF Emporio in New Delhi, along with Kala Ghoda in Mumbai. (PA)
