Isko names winners of Denim Design Digital Contest

Denim fabrics manufacturer Isko has announced winners of the second edition of the ‘Denim Design Digital Contest’, which is organised by Isko and promoted by Isko and its design and style research center, Creative Room.

The followers of the Facebook page ‘I-Skool Denim Talent Awards’ were invited to like and give their nod for their favourite outfit choosing among the shortlisted entries in the competition.

“The outfits received more than 7,000 votes totally and the winners took home loads of metres of Isko denim fabrics,” an Isko press release informed.

The first place was bagged by Michal Hidas from Istituto Marangoni, who received 45 per cent of votes and won 40 metres of denim.

In second place, came Ilke Usluca from UAL who bagged 15 per cent of votes and took home 25 metres of denim fabrics.

The third place was won by Tobia Cecchin also from IUAV and who received 12 per cent of votes and bagged 15 metres of denim for the third position.

According to Isko, the third edition will involve more worldwide prestigious design and marketing schools, which it opines, will create ferment in the fashion world.

Marco Lucietti, global marketing director of Isko said, “The third edition of our fashion talent competition will be more global as our ambition is to help future fashion stars grow to their full potential.”

The second edition was held in collaboration with major worldwide beacons in fashion education like UAL Chelsea, Esmod Munich, AMFI, AMD Academy for Fashion and Design, FIDM, Istituto Marangoni, etc.

Leading players of the denim industry participated in the project by providing their know-how to students.

The Creative Room team tutored the Denim Design Award participants, assisting students in developing their designs and in learning how to commercialise.

While the marketing and communication agency, Menabò Group mentored the students who has entered the Denim Marketing Award contest.

The specialised partners were major organisations like Denim Première Vision, Archroma, Lenzing, Tonello, Cadica Group, Caitac Garment Processing, Jims Design Studio, C&S, BPD Wash House, etc.

The partners were highly prestigious brands like True Religion, Lee, Replay, Haikure and 3x1, together with Swarovski and Stroili and notebook brand Moleskine.

With a wide range of innovative fabric technologies and products that meet the most diverse demands of the denim sector, Isko is geared towards the market’s high end and has offices in 35 countries across the globe. (AR)
