 Emporio Armani launches women's collection spring/summer 2010. There is a definite mood at the core of this collection: a sense of freedom that imparts energy, a playful spirit that conveys sheer happiness and fun. The collection's flowing movement is set off by powerful graphic design in black and white, presented in blocks of colour, geometric patterns and stripes.
A flat disk, with the plasticity of glossy patent, appears as a brooch, a belt buckle or a bag clasp, emphasising the preference for clean contours. However this rigorous approach to shape, emphasised by the proportions of fluid jackets – that define the silhouette always teamed with short skirts – paradoxically promotes a way of "dressing without dressing up" achieving a simplicity and immediacy that reveals the very essence of the clothes.
