Maglificio Ripa, Roica by Asahi Kasei and Erca have partnered to offer the Deep by Ripa, an innovative line of fabrics which will be presented at Parisian Interfilière trade show.

An Maglificio Ripa press release informed that the fabric offers exclusive performance in terms of colour and functionality as well as in tones and nuances, intensity and sophistication.

“Also Deep by Ripa colours do not present any of those white or grey nuances caused by the untinted elastomer, a phenomenon which commonly occurs with polyamides, viscose, wool, cotton and silk,” it added.

The fabric uses special yarns made from Roica Colour Perfect family, which premiered for the first time at Interfilière Paris in July 2015.

“These are premium yarns, not only by virtue of their excellent elasticity, but also because of their particular characteristic, which enables them to be dyed in combination with all above mentioned fibres,” the company explained.

Deep by Ripa also uses an innovative technology; Onetone by Erca; specifically aimed at optimising the process of dyeing which in combination with cellulosic fibres, it offers great depth of colour and excellent colour-fastness.

Moreover, Erca is attested Bluesign along with the auxiliaries it employs for the Onetone process on the fabrics realised with premium stretch threads by Roica Colour Perfect.

“Maglificio Ripa is not only a guarantee in terms of fabric research and development but also of style through continuous monitoring of new trends and market requirements,” Maglificio Ripa observed.

The first stop in the presentation of the new line will be the Parisian Interfilière trade show, dedicated to textiles and accessories for the underwear and beachwear industry.

At the show, Wacoal Group's Huit brand will introduce a range of underwear garments produced with this innovative fabric.

Right after the Parisian salon, Deep by Ripa will head to Munich Fabric Start, then straight back to Paris to meet the fashion world at Premier Vision. (AR)
